Call for joined up thinking on road safety

Cllr. George Dexter has called for some "joined up thinking" on road safety.

“Roads without pavements are an accident waiting to happen!” said Dr George Dexter, Councillor for Okehampton North. "The failure of joined up thinking by the Conservative controlled County Council and West Devon Borough Council means that people cannot walk safely from where they live to the school along Crediton Road in Okehampton."

"This is very dangerous and we must do something before someone gets seriously injured, or killed, in a road accident. I am working with the council to get the pavement which should have been be put in when the estates were first built."
